Our spacious and state-of-the-art campus is open year-round to children from the age of 2 to 6 years and they have the run of five large classrooms which are filled with Montessori materials, which is why we are considered the best of the Dublin preschools near I580 / I680.

The campus was designed with plenty of space in mind and has specially extended windows in order to let in the maximum amount of natural light which enhances the academic and developmental environment. There is also a playground near the back of the school which is fully gated and secure and in which the children can play and explore the outside world around them.

The Montessori Method Is Different

The Montessori method is different from any other method of teaching children in their formative years in that it puts the child first. Every child has access to the materials which are – as far as possible – all natural: we try to avoid plastics. The child chooses things that interest him and which he wants to explore which means that he is learning about things that he wants to learn about, rather than sitting down listening to a teacher telling him something that might not interest him at all.

So each child learns in his own time and at his own pace. Since he is learning about things which capture his imagination, he wants to learn more, so our children learn because they want to, not because they have to. There is no pressure on a child to “finish” something by a certain time, and equally, the faster learners are not held back, because the teacher watches their progress and introduces new materials when the time is right for that particular child.

If you want the best of the Dublin preschools near I580 / I680, then by all means come and visit us at Learn And Play Montessori and we will be delighted to show you around.
